Thank you very much for inviting me to this page . As you can see in the pic, i ma not a Malay and speak only very little bercacap sedikit sedikit but i love silat very march. I only pratise sialt as a form of internal healing because i got Kidney problem .It is not for martail arts to excel to become a good paliwan.

I have very good knowledge of the silat sejarah Melayu . This comes from a very long process SEA studies starting from Thailand and very knowledge coes from applied awareness meditation based on my Therevada buddhsit meditation educational syllabus from my high school days. Consequently I am Pure chinese but also very much on the Thai side. When one is familair with Thai history, one would also be very familiar the Melayu Sejarah because he Malay civilisation had its very rich heritage from the days of the Mon-Khmer Burmese empire and the sunsequent Austranesain settlement in Malaya kingdoms such as Langasuka adsorded gradully Thai, Champa, Cambodian, burmese , vietnamese , Indian , Chinese and middle eastern influences from very early times by trade when the Indo aryans who became the orang Asli gave te Austranesain natives out of Yuanan its Southern Indian wrting system. All this was to develope very profusely in the time of the Sailendra Mahananya Buddhist mixed Virjanaya and Brahma Hindu Kings.
It was the Brahma Hinduism from Thailand and ancient beliefs mixed with Sufi Islam introduced by the Wali Songo in the 9 to 12 Century that gave the Malaysian malays Kejawan or the electic Sufi tradition of sialt as Islam in action with a very mystical blend of Hinduism, buddhism and Islam from Araba , Turkey and persia .
No doubt, Walisongo silat still exist in Malaysia today. What is really important is that there is now a push for the revival of the Kejawan silat syllabus by the head of the ministry of Malay lit and culture of Dr. Abdullah under the past Tun Mahatir regime . Reported in the Malaysian times, Dr. Abdullah worte lamanteously that the younger generations of Malay kini are no longer interested in the Melayu sejarah and have abandoned the long time loved and legendary Lakasama Hang Tuah and are instead turning their interest to Harry Potter from the west and the like .
Oh how sad the changing face of the Malay arts and heritge will be and can anyone resuce its fate? I on the other hand though Chinese would loyally pledge my undying love for it all.
